'The Song of the Soil' - Hadleigh Environmental Action Team

Writer: Lynda CroftLynda Croft

The Hadleigh Environmental Action Team (HEAT) are a Suffolk based group of hard-working volunteers taking positive action to improve the environment for everyone.

"HEAT is working to help people and organisations in Hadleigh (Suffolk) to always take climate change, and the resilience of the natural world, into account when they make decisions."

HEAT organises regular talks and activities. They have a very interesting one coming up this week on the 27th March at 7.30 pm at The Guildroom, Hadleigh. Admission is free.

Helen Bynum is a Farm Wildlife Advisor with Suffolk Wildlife Trust and is going to talk about her project at Martlesham Wilds testing out a new science of listening to the soil or soil ecoacoustic, 'The Song of the Soil'.

We are very lucky to have a regular group of volunteers helping us with the management of our new woodland, caring for the 50,000 trees that we have planted over the last few years. Many thanks to HEAT for all that you do from everyone at Heathpatch.
